Like What You See? Let's Work
The Star Wars API Project is a dynamic, interactive web application that leverages the Star Wars API (SWAPI) to fetch and display character information. The project aims to provide users with an engaging way to explore characters and their movie appearances in the Star Wars universe. The app presents a clickable character list and a lightbox feature that shows all the movies a selected character has appeared in. The solution also includes smooth animations and responsive design, making it accessible on both desktop and mobile devices

The Star Wars API Project was developed by Emmanuel Opadele and Amari Buck, each contributing unique expertise and skills to create a seamless and visually engaging user experience.
The challenge addressed by this project was the lack of engaging, interactive, and easily accessible content regarding Star Wars characters and their appearances across multiple movies. Many Star Wars fans and users alike often struggle to find a simple way to explore the rich universe of characters and movies in an interactive, visually appealing format. Additionally, static websites or simple APIs often do not offer seamless integration of dynamic data with smooth transitions or interactive experiences. Our solution was to enhance user engagement by building a dynamic, easy-to-use web application that provides a fully interactive experience with data directly fetched from the Star Wars API.
The Star Wars API Project offers an engaging and user-friendly experience by dynamically fetching and displaying data from the Star Wars API (SWAPI). Key features of the solution include: Dynamic Character List: The application fetches characters in real-time from the SWAPI and presents them in an interactive, clickable list. Lightbox Display: Clicking on a character triggers a lightbox showcasing all the movies they’ve appeared in, providing a visually engaging way to explore the Star Wars universe.
